Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
For the past several days, that verse has been on my mind. I selected it as a reading at my wedding, as a reminder to always show those virtues in my marriage – and, really, everyday life. Even though I know that I fail daily, it remains my goal.
Wishing you all a very happy Valentine’s Day, filled with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and above all, love.
