For my photography class, our assignment this week was a subject study. We were supposed to use a variety of angles, different settings, and a range of filters to capture the same object in many different ways.

The teacher said over and over that it’s such an easy assignment. But, it took me a week to come up with my inspiration. After attempting the assignment with our local court house, strawberries, candles, bird cages, and so on, I finally decided to photograph a cup of tea. This turned out to be both a fun and challenging choice!

Here are some of the photos from my tea party:

Thanks! It was a ton of fun doing this assignment.

I use a Nikon D60 – and lots of Photoshop!

      Thanks!

And yes – very hot! Although, with highs of 97, we think we’re having a cold spell. It was 107 last weekend!

The photos turned out great! I can tell you’re enjoying being challenged by your photography class.

Are the strawberries in a bird cage?

OBVIOUSLY strawberries would be in a bird cage!

It’s really a cake plate styled to look like a bird cage. I’m strangely obsessed with birds and bird things right now, despite being deathly afraid of birds pecking out my eyes…
