Several months ago, Russell and I found our perfect dining room table at a furniture store in Lubbock.

It has a beautiful, rustic design in the wood:

The legs are a gorgeous shape:

And a neat metal trestle:

And the best part: it was 50 percent off. I love a good sale.

But, all of the chairs were coming in at $300-$400 each – which seemed a little crazy to Russell and me, especially since we wanted at least 8 chairs.

So, we got the table, with no chairs, and faced the daunting task of finding chairs that match the wood and style of the table.

One day, when driving through Hereford, Russell’s mom and I happened upon a used furniture store and found these chairs for $35 each:

It was love at first sight – other than the fact that this was the only chair that came with a seat, which doesn’t match any of our stuff. Not to mention, the wood of the chairs doesn’t match the table. But other than that: love.

So much love, in fact, that I bought 10 of them.

Since they didn’t match the table, we had them painted black and antiqued.

And I covered the seats:

All for less than $100 per chair.

The table is absolutely gorg! And I’m totally impressed with the amazing job you did on the chairs. I scrolled up and down twice to see the transformation!
