I grew up in the Texas Hill Country, one of the most beautiful places in this country, with gently rolling hills, beautiful wildflowers, and meandering creaks and rivers.
West Texas is the opposite. Flat, treeless, few flowers, and dry as a bone.
But, that flat landscape means that you see endless amount of sky in every direction. Everywhere you look, there are deep blue skies during the day, millions of twinkling stars at night, and the most amazing sunsets I’ve ever seen. Every day and every night.
Each day, I stop to take in the sky and stand in awe of something so beautiful and peaceful. Here’s today’s moment of awe:
