In DC, it seemed like all Rusesll and I ever did were house renovations. Redoing the bathroom, redecorating the basement, laying tile in the kitchen, landscaping the front yard. The to-do list seemed to never end. And by the time we left, we were so sick of doing renovations, that we refused to even do touch up painting, opting to hire someone instead.
And what do we come to in Texas? You guessed it: more house renovations.
Right now, we’re living in Russell’s parents’ spare bedroom while our house is being, basically, completely redone. I ran up to the house today to take a few before pictures. Brace yourself, they’re kinda stressful to look at. But, probably more so for me than you…
And this is the lovely kitchen. Just a few months ago, it was on fire. For real. That started the whole renovation. In not too long (I hope) it will have antiqued, French country cabinets and the biggest work island I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m very excited!
I forgot to take a picture of the living room. But, basically, there’s a wall with TV written in really big letters. And that’s it.
One day, this will be my office and a little sitting area in front of the fire place. We don’t really know what to do with this space…. ideas?
That’s the dining room. It looks pretty good, comparatively, right? Can you believe those beautiful hard woods were hidden under some carpet??
And this room is my favorite. It’s a craft room. Can you see me beaming with happiness through the computer? No? Well, I am!
I also forgot to take pictures of the bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry room, and back yard. Oops. All for another day, I suppose.
